Join us for a day trip to Cape Point and enjoy these spectacular views along the way.
While this is in fact not the southern most point of Africa, it is popularly perceived as the area at which the cold water of the Atlantic Ocean meets the warmer Indian Ocean. This is also a protected area forming part of the Table Mountain National Park and has a diverse range of fynbos vegetation. There are some easy walking trails you can enjoy from the parking area, enabling you to get close to the fynbos, or perhaps catch a glimpse of some of the animals found in the park.
Highlights of your day include :
Hout Bay - with an optional boat cruise to view the thousands of seals which inhabit nearby Seal Island.
Boulders Beach - returning to Cape Town along the False Bay coastline, it is worth stopping off to see the penguin colony which has established itself there.
Before returning to Cape Town, you have the opportunity of visiting one of the fine wine estates found in the Constantia Valley. A relaxing ending to a great day. ( * Please note there is not always time to fit this in after a Cape Point day )
